Gladys: We spend more on batteries for that remote than we do on our gas bill!
I have two sets of rechargeable batters for my remotes. When the ones in the remote wear down, I switch them with the second set and recharge the dead ones, which then become the spares. I use Energizer rechargeable batteries which hold the charge real well while being stored. So far it’s been about 2 years since I have had to buy replacements.
