I don’t think he is Swiss, much less having been in that country’s military – two more requirements he lacks. At least he made the one about being Catholic.
Actually, I don’t think the Swiss guardsmen have to be Catholic, I’ve read about Swiss protestants serving in the guard and being just a loyal to their job of protecting the pope as the Catholic guards.

patlaborviIt apparently depends on what we have been reading, or they changed it sometime in my lifetime, because it was a requirement in the past.
