Most people in the pool are not chosen, and sent home. They get paid anyway.

@thebird55: I haven’t been called for jury duty in over 10 years. -—————I hope everyone had a great Christmas. I know that I did. Be healthy, wealthy and wise my friends.

@Bobarion: I saw that happen in Chattanooga some years ago. I was glad that I was on the opposite side of the street.

Sat once on a six man for a Civil Suit. It was interesting. Thankfully the 5 day trial was short (on a daily basis) and the food was good. Last day had pizza from a local legendary pie shop.

Called twice, sent home after the first interviews, never actually sat through a trial…

Geez, CT is cheap. We don’t get paid (our employers have to pay us) and they don’t feed us either! Pool or jury.

You should double check that. The pay isn’t for serving, it’s to compensate you for missing work. And you have to miss work to be interviewed as a potential juror.

The ‘compensation’ doesn’t even cover the cost of parking.

I have never even been called! Now, at 75yo, I guess that I’ll never be.
