Barney & Clyde by Gene Weingarten; Dan Weingarten & David Clark for July 02, 2010

The bunny rabbit now hangs around with Clyde.

When Clyde begs for money, he now mentions that he money will also be used to feed the bunny rabbit.

The lady gave money to Clyde because of the bunny rabbit, not for Clyde continuing on with his current lifestyle.

    Clyde is a dirt bag.

^Love it, shytimes. I hadn’t thought of that, but you’re absolutely right. :-)

Hamlet had a pet bunny named Pat. As Hamlet approaches Claudius at prayer, seeing it as his opportunity to kill his uncle, he says “Now might I do it, Pat!”

Pat later went on to star in a best-selling children’s book, “Pat the Bunny.”

Hamlet’s mother Gertrude had a small lapdog named Amazement. When the Ghost appears after Hamlet slays the tedious, pontificating old fool Polonius (by accident, of course), the Ghost says “Look, how Amazement on thy mother sits!”

looks like old Clyde is going to pocket the cash. the rabbit (Ergo) gets plenty to eat in the park without his help.

that’s quite a scam he’s got going for him.

At least if Ergo is helping Clyde get cash, it’s keeping Ergo out of the stew pot…

Als Ergo is willens en wetens een deel van deze zwendel, het is hij ook een beetje vuil zak.

st2: Get one of the translator apps for Firefox (if you’re being serious, that is). What he said was extremely repellent and despicable, but I think it’s obvious Joe brought it on himself.

As it says in the holy Koran, ““Those who desire the life of the present and its glitter, to them we shall pay [the price of] their deeds therein, without diminution… [yet] it is they who, in the life to come, shall have nothing but the fire – for in vain shall be all good things that they have done in this [world], and worthless all that they ever did” (Koran 11:15-16)

It looks like Ergo is in on the scam, judging by the adorable bunny-eyes he’s making in the second panel. And he seems to be smiling in the last panel.

Ushindi, thank you for clarifying my position.

You seem to know what I’m thinking before I can think it.

“I just know lots of stuff about lots of things. ”

“It is the wise man who knows how little he truly knows.”

“Everybody’s ignorant, just on different subjects.”

JAD has demonstrated a grasp of a number of facts which are of absolutely no interest to anyone else. He has also exhibited inordinate pride in his knowledge of things which EVERYBODY knows, but which nobody else expects to be congratulated for (hence the “Captain Obvious” sobriquet). Finally, he has often demonstrated a profound unfamiliarity of certain things which ARE common knowledge to others.

Everybody knows lots of things about lots of things, they just don’t all assume that knowledge needs to be shared with others.

“The fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one GREAT thing.”

Personally, I know many things about hedgehogs. But I don’t presume that this is the appropriate forum to disseminate that knowledge unsolicited.

    Can you spell “delusional”?

    No?

    How about “dementia”?

I think it says, essentially, “because Ergo is willfully involved in this scam, he’s also a bit ‘dirty’”.
