I’m new to this comic. How was this guy able to get married in the first place?

Nothing is worse than finding out your Dad is………..well……..

I remember using that method to come up with grocery money in my poorer days… buy a scratch ticket with change I found in parking lots, strange thing was I usually won enough to get a few days groceries at a time.
