In 1975, long after The Man from UNCLE was cancelled, David McCallum got the lead in a show called The Invisible Man, TV Guide asked, “How do you sell this show? ‘Be sure not to see me in The Invisible Man’?” Apparently, not too many people saw him; the show was cancelled after 13 episodes.The next year, someone tried the concept of an occasionally invisible man, a guy who could become invisible for only 15 minutes a day or he’d become permanently invisible. The show was called The Gemini Man. Apparently, even fewer people saw him: only 11 episodes were shot; and the show was canceled after five.
