The purpose of the “government gonna take your guns” scare is to get you to buy more guns. Businesses that manufacture and sell guns want a Democrat to always be President for this reason.
How long have cars and drivers required licenses? How many vehicles has the government taken (outside of RICO)? Why do you conclude the single-purpose deadly weapon is any different?
For those who would say “but…the Second Amendment,” there are plenty of constraints on the First Amendment. There’s no reason why the Second has to be absolute – especially since people are conveniently forgetting the full text – you know, the “well-regulated militia” part…
For the clowns in camo with their firearms denouncing the government, that has given them a free ride and not busted ‘em in Oregon (lots ’o guns in that “peaceful” takeover), how about letting ’em keep all their guns and give them a free ride to Bolivia to play “Butch and Sundance” with officials down there? More guns doesn’t reduce carnage.
