Adam: This monkey idea may make me change my novel's title. If the main character is a monkey, "The Winter Turns to Sorrow" seems kind of heavy. Laura: So, what are you thinking now? Adam: "Banana Pants", but I'm not married to it. Laura: It does have a ring to it.

Sorrowful, poignant with a little bit of a smile might get him awards if its any good.
I’m in agreement with you; but as you are well aware, the attention span of the average adult is about 3 seconds, give or take! A story like this will likely lose the reader’s focus after the first paragraph…
