That’s pretty nice car you got there. You wouldn’t want something bad to happen to it.

Who has a garage with enough space left in it to park a car inside?

Where I live, a parking space in a garage costs almost as much as an apartment in the building.

Make it a family tradition! Calvin waits for his dad stop at the toll booth and gets a quarter.

It would be interesting to see if he ever became a toll collector when he grew up

Mom and Dad used to measure the car to make sure it fit in the garage – also – when was the last time you saw a rope that pulled the door down

Both off and on topic: Ya ever get the feeling that Bill Watterson was heavily influenced by the classic “The Phantom Tollbooth” ?

Maybe it’s my demented mind, but when I read toll booth and Mafia, the Sonny Corleone scene from The Godfather came immediately to mind. I’d run it here, but it might be just a bit too graphic for some…
