I have mixed feelings about the Amish. I admire them for their work ethic. But where in the Bible does it say that their use of modern machines ended in the year 1850??
Some actually use electric motors and have telephone booths. It sounds a little hypocritical. Oh well, but you rarely hear of them on the news shooting cops or using crack.
I thought they were allowed some usage for businesses – like if the state says they need refrigerators, etc… but not personal. Likewise a telephone booth can be used for emergencies, etc. Like 1 booth for several families.

Great. Now I’m going to spend my entire day trying to figure out how the Amish contact the Uber service.

The Amish in my area hire the “English” to drive them to yard sales. I guess that’s easier than finding a hitching post for the horse.
