That’s some weak sauce Einstein, mighty weak:

People guilty only of being in the country illegally are not detained in prison for lengthy periods. They are turned over to the Federal government for deportation as soon as possible. Unless of course, the Holder Justice Department follows through on its illegal threat to refuse deportees from Arizona. Is Holder in on this too? Is he plotting to cause a back-up of detainees?

The law in question simply reproduces a Federal law that has been on the books since 1940, that the Federal government does not choose to enforce.

The law was not written or proposed by the governor - that is the job of the legislature. All she did was sign it.

70% of Arizonans favor the law.

Folks, Alcaraz and his fellow spin artists in the media are employing Alinsky Rule # 13: “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it.”

This is an intentional (and clumsy) distraction, and it’s probably coordinated, Journolist style. If she’s crooked she should go down for that. But SB1070 is not Brewer, and Brewer is not SB1070.

    70%, Alcaraz.

Why can’t people learn their facts before posting? According to the investigative reporter at KPHO-TV in Phoenix, Arizona is different from other states in that they do keep detainees in their prisons longer than other states until they’re turned over to the federal authorities. Also, the senator who introduced the bill has stock in the private prison company that would handle the detainees. There is no federal law that requires police to profile anyone if they suspect a person might not be here illegally. A large percentage of Americans in the 19th Century also favored the Jim Crow laws, which have also been overturned as unconstitutional. At any rate, the more arrests that are made, the more money the private prison companies get. The strip is reasonably accurate.

Back in the 70s I was arrested for a state law that was also a federal law. I think they called it Possession of less than 4 oz.. Fed court did not come to my aid. I wonder if I was profiled because of my hair? Bell Bottoms?

It’s racial prejudice in that it targets Mexicans. It’s corruption also because the governor profits from it through her private prisons. We need to make it possible for any Mexican or Canadian who wants to to come to this country, pay local, state and federal taxes, and work to strengthen OUR economy.

People get a clue. There are people in hundreds of countries that are still wait to get their visa papers to immigrate to this country. Why should illegals who won’t follow the law be put in front of them in line? If you want to talk racial prejudice, to allow the illegals to stay is a racial prejudice for them not against.

This is not a racial profiling law. If I were say, pulled over for a traffic violation and could not produce ID, the law would apply to me.

I have to carry ID anyway. So does every other adult.

You can spin all you want, but the fact is that Arizonans (70% +) want this law. They want it because they are being inundated and the Federal government won’t do its job.

Hey Alcaraz, why don’t you do some strips about something like, what happens to illegals in Mexico? For example people from Guatemala who enter Mexico without permission. It’s not pretty.

Or how about, the vile corrupt incompetence and white-over-brown racism that keeps Mexico poor and motivates its people to leave.

Or how about, the California state prison guard union lobbying for tougher laws to fill the prisons so they can work more of that sweet, sweet overtime.

I know why you ignore that kind of thing. People, look up the definition of “rent seeking.”

Lalo Alcaraz is a rent seeker.

Just because 70% of Arizonans want slavery to be legal, doesn’t make slavery a good thing, and it doesn’t make the law a good law.

What is the fastest growing population of illegals by ethnicity according to the Dept. of Homeland Security? Not latino, not Southeast Asian, but East Indian. They are mostly visa overstays.

BTW - Mexican is not a race, but a nationality. There are many races of Mexican citizens, not just one.

Ignorance gets so comfortable to those that embrace it.

Gee, I thought the rule for the last 6000 years was, “To the winner goes the spoils.” My ancestors were invaded 600 years ago. When the English couldn’t conquer by any other means, when the potato famine (caused by an English ship) couldn’t stave enough people, Parliament exported any other crops on the island. Have the population of the island were conveniently murdered, er removed.

It’s been a long time since the fifth grade, THEVIC but didn’t Texas win its independence from Mexico before the U.S. took it? Jeff Foxworthy, Who’s smarter?

You lose a war and you’re going to pay.Same bleeding heart liberals crying “Oh, the poor Arabs.” Lets see, six Arab nations made a pledge to wipe Israel off the earth. Oops! They are lucky they got back what they did. Did the greats of history give land back. Don’t think so. That’s why your Children study them. Losers aren’t given much space in history books.

Or would you have the world filled with thousands to tiny tiny tiny independent states waring constantly? Look what happened when Victoria gave away the Empire. You think those countries are better off under dictators and military madmen?.
