Silly Frieda, once you get two days after May Day, there’s no reason to dance.

Actually, the 3rd of May is a local holiday in Oliva in Spain.

Then we have Cinco de Mayo.

It’s like the old joke:

“Why do you have broccoli in your ears?”

“Because it’s Wednesday. I always have broccoli in my ears on Wednesdays.”

“But it’s Tuesday!”

“It is? Darn, then people must think I’m weird!”

Since Snoopy is the Easter Beagle, why hasn’t he been giving out May Baskets?

Sore feet?

The real reason is, that Snoopy’s feet hurt from two days of May dancing. He just won’t admit it.

There is always a reason to dance if you look hard enough.

Snoopy did play “Easter Bunny” April 14, 1968. This would be the beginning of what would become the Easter Beagle, though the second strip wouldn’t be until 1970 and Snoopy wasn’t called the Easter Beagle until 1971.

I’d guess some French citizens were dancing in 1616 when the Treaty of Loudun ended the French civil war…

The 3rd of May Dance, if Snoopy did it, would be the same as #1 and #2.
