A mistake of titanic proportions…. (Someone had to say it.)
Apparently Titanic was designed to break through ice on head-on collision. But a novice engineer had tried to turn it around to avoid a head-on collision and had stuck the ice on its side, which was not collision-proof.
Just recently someone re-learned the hard way that steel gets brittle when cold, but I can’t find the article.
Another plus, you’ll be the most famous worst commander of the seas for decades to come!
