When my Avatar < is sitting on my chair arm, he starts tapping me until I touch his paw with my hand.

I agree with Army Nurse…“Arlo, her Dream Knight in Armor come to protect her.”

My wife wakes me up doing that some time. I do the same thing shown here and she calms down without waking up.

This is what I miss about being with a partner, the nights can get awfully lonely.

I get that it’s Arlo’s hand, but what is he throwing out with a FWOP? And what’s with the lamp in panels 2 and 3?

Arlo is rolling over after being slightly disturbed by Janis’ bad dream. That’s his hand flopping as he rolls, then he lays it on her shoulder for comfort. Good dreams return.

I don’t know why I keep reading this strip. I find myself finding only 1 out of 100 funny and often have to check the comments to see if it can be explained to me.

My kitties are the best soothing touch of all in the middle of the night! No partner issues to contend with.
