Tramp was one of the best reasons to watch…along with Bub and Uncle Charlie!

FYI the trainer of Tramp was Frank Inn who also trained the movie dogs who played Benji and the cat Orangey seen in Breakfast at Tiffany’s. Inn wanted the dogs ashes buried with him at famed Forest Lawn but don’t think it actually happened. Inn got his start working for the trainer of Lassie.

Sometimes when I get up in the morning, I’m feeling a bit out of sorts. Then I read Red and Rover and my whole day improves…

Only ever saw “My Friend Flicka” in black and white. But I do remember “Bonanza” in color, Sunday night, too, if I remember correctly. Had a HUGE crush on Little Joe as did most of the females back then, LOL!

Yep. I remember ‘Bub’ being before Uncle Charlie. Also I think Bonanza was the first TV series to be broadcast in color. Early episodes of Gunsmoke (think the ones with ‘Chester’ and not ‘Festus’) were B&W before that series switched to color. Bonanza was on NBC “in living color” preceded by the peacock.

@tcar1 said: “Cartoon Tramp was released in 1955. TV dog tramp debuted in 1960.”

    … Thanx :)

@Dry and Dusty said: “… love all the Disney Cartoons!”

    … me too. ;)

@Dry and Dusty said: “And tell me, are you related to the Little Mermaid :-)”

… yes. (but don’t tell anyone else … I’d rather be characterized of my own merit, rather than because of my show biz family) :P
