Can’t even get a zombie nowadays who doesn’t make demands.

It’s DUKE. Odds are, he’ll be more bombed out of his mind if you give him ten minutes alone than he ever was under zombie control.

In re some comments from yesterday….It’s no secret that here are MANY strips missing from this curated Doonesbury retrospective… it’s not meant to be complete.Read Garry’s blurb on the right hand side of this page —→he says he’s hitting “high points.” If he were rerunning the whole strip, we’d still be in the early 1970’s.Meanwhile…if you don’t have the books and want to fill in the blanks, you can go back to the very first strip of any comic on this site by clicking the double left-pointing arrows above it.

To go to a specific time in the archives, use the little calendar tool above the right-hand corner.

Click on the earliest year that seems to be available, and then, even earlier years will appear in the list…. so do it again… a few clicks takes you all the way back to 1970.I have no idea whether it works if you’re not signed in, or even for non-Pro members…but if it doesn’t, it might be worth the 99 cents a month (paid by the year, though) just to read ALL of Doonesbury!

Oh yeah, the Monet with the mayonnaise stain near the lower right corner. (I believe it had been hanging in the kitchen.)

He needs more controlling agent. I have to do the low salt diet thing. It’s OK, but I have to cook a lot from scratch and leave out the salt, and it is hard to pick a low salt item off of a restaurant menu.

They told my wife to go on the Dash Diet; she sent me to the store to get Mrs Dash. I sent her a picture of a whole row of different flavors and said “Which one?”

“You’ll find a years supply of my controlling agent packed in dry ice near my feet”Bad plan. Certain asphyxiation. As to the low salt diet and frequent beatings, I suppose that is at the discretion of the new “owners”

Adiraiju, This must have been the best readers’ comment I’ve read so far on Doon. (Also, my reply will not be posted as a reply no matter how many times I tried through the entire day. )

Doesn’t do stables? What the hell is this? A taste of the ol’ cat-o’nine will straighten the bugger out.
