There was a later strip, when Lucy destroyed Linus’s sand castle. Unlike Charlie Brown, he did something about it. He built something else out of sand, walked up to Lucy, and said, “Boom!” Turns out he’d built a sand cannon!

Nice kid. I’d like to have 10 of them running around.

Patty was very mean to Charlie Brown. What else could Charlie Brown do but accept and go back to bed and regroup. Children can be mean against one another.

Only because she’s a woman and Chuck and gentleboy.

I think we all have days like this, when the crap hits the fan, and all we want to do is go to bed.

I call those “weekdays.”

I remember Linus and other Peanuts kids building sand castles at the beach. But a sandbox in a backyard???

Charlie, next time, build your sand castle around a big heavy rock.

Patty is portrayed as a very mean and thoughtless character. No wonder Shultz wrote her out of the strip.

And that’s why in Minecraft you build your structures out of sandstone, not sand.
