    Yes, prayers might get answered eventually, in time, although not a single one from Earth yet has. You have to really believe, in order for prayers to achieve psychic escape velocity. And then if they do, the nearest prayer relay station is 8000 light years distant. .And then through a network of wormholes to Prayer Fulfillment. And if finally your prayer gets to lowest levels of the cosmic bureaucracy, the center of the Universe with the enormous queue of prayers (piled high and full of obsolete pleas, but they must all be examined individually) no one sees the use of answering a prayer from a dead human..But you kneel by your bed and dream of that answered prayer when evening comes..Apologies to Franz Kafka.

    Not the Smartest Man On the Planet -- Maybe Close Premium Member almost 9 years ago

    One of the psychological advantage of prayer is the fact that it helps those who are being prayed for, if for no other reason than they know others care about their problems.

    Of course, help in solving those problems is also welcome: “Faith without works is dead.”
