In CA, when I go to Von’s supermarket, they always ask me if I would like to make a donation to their charity. I think this is annoying.
There is a sign that says, “if the cashier does not ask for a donation, you win a liter of Coke!”

This is a variation on a joke I like to make when they ask me if I found everything okay. I say, “Yes, I found EVERYTHING. But I only want these things.”
Occasionally they laugh.
