There are more important things than chasing squirrels bent on world domination.

Whenever food is involved, they always know!

The nose knows.

Mom used to say our dog could hear the knife going through the chocolate frosting on the cake.

If Rover were a doxie he could be my dog.

And one very startled squirrel!

The irresistible chocolate chip always wins

A cookie in the mouth is worth a squirrel in the bush.

I think I’ll toss a couple into my mouth right now…

I had a great dog, half visual and half english setter, and he had the perfect slow stealth walk, just like rover at the start. The squirrel is funny all poofed up. He didn’t notice until Rover ran the other way.Rover is guaranteed a cookie, Red loves him so.

Cookies are very near the top of the Food Pyramid!

They can hear the sound of the car keys being picked up off the dresser, as well as the crunch of an oatmeal cookie from a half mile away.

Hiiray! at last I have Red and Rover on Sunday. the penny pinching Daily News only has dailies. I’ve been deprived of that great treasure. now I have it. Thanks GoComics! paul r.
