Expecting teachers to be educated about the modern day is too much. And actually, the kids use IM not email anymore.

What if the server goes down and you can’t get to the assignments? Oops, maybe that’s what Peter had in mind!

Peter, there is a very primitive method available to you that need not waste any electrons. It is called pencil and paper, they work well with some practice. It is worth a try … Oops you even have the pencil in your hand. Who’d a thunk it!

There’s a college prof here who if he asks questions in class and gets no response gives pop quizzes. My class never had pop quizzes because I’d always give an answer, right or wrong. Drove everyone else nuts, but never had pop quizzes………………

@Nabuq: This “classic Foxtrot” is from 1999. Not so many kids had email accounts back then. Just saying…

Regarding the Sep. 9th strip about school lunches. I may have discovered what the ‘mystery meat’ was.

ses1066 - actually you do waste electrons. They are present in the left over in the graphite shavings on the paper. Once used it is rarely used again.

I liked my high school math teacher. He gave out every assignment on his syllabus at the beginning of the term and gave it out the days assignment again on the day he assigned it. The smart kids realized they could spend the first weekend and get the entire terms assignments done and not have to worry about homework.
