Ok daddyhc, I’ll give you the low down. Here’s my method: When you find a gif you like in Categories (giphy.com), click on it to open the page for that gif. Under the gif there are two tabs SHARE & ADVANCED. The code from the SHARE tab won’t work because it uses the iframe tag, which GoComics no longer allows. Instead go to the ADVANCED tab and use the address (URL) in the GIF DOWNLOAD box just as you would for any other image (<img src="URL" width="350">)And, yes, this means you’re in the Advanced class because you know to post pictures. (Not everyone does, you know.)That’s an old .gif, I don’t smoke anymore. Bad for the health you know.Fred, I’ll have another, please.
As a child I briefly had access to the bowels of a grocery store while there was a strike going on. Whee the fun we had on the conveyer belts and rollers. Of course now there are no bowels with inventory, it is all on the shelves. Show your age by asking “do you have more of xyz in the back?” There is no back.

Excuse me for butting in but that description of how to post an image sounds more complicated than just grabbing (download) the image to desktop and use Postimage .org to host it.
they give the codes to post a thumbnail size if the original is too large for this column. they make it very easy to share your pictures.
as an example here is an image I got in email today.I selected “Do not rresize” this is thumbnail. the original size would stretch this page. to see it full size just click on it. a window will open to show it. you can grab it or scroll down and get the codes to post it.
@daddyhcI sorry. When you asked about posting a GIPHY I thought you were referring to a gif already hosted at the giphy.com website.@annette143NotMeI can see no reason to download a gif from giphy.com just simply upload it to a different hosting site. Also I see that if you elect to resize your image postimage.org does not appear to respect the aspect ratio of the original. When you add the width modifier (i.e. width="350">) – without the height modifier – to the <img src="URL"> tag the users browser will automatically set the image height while maintaining the original aspect ratio.
