It’s difficult being a foreigner in Japan. I remember feeling exhausted from being treated, or looked at differently because I’m not Japanese. Everything would be so much easier if I could blend in now and then. I found that there’s real magic in learning the language and just being friendly. More people were patient and open to me when I changed my thinking.
