Ex-doc only lives for the poison. It’s just a need for attention, like a small spoiled child stamping their feet and screaming. Hmmmmm, sound like anyone else with Orange coloring we know?
That’s because babies don’t have guns. Oh, wait they do have access to them and shoot themselves and others, weekly. “Mommy, why don’t I have a daddy like other kids?”“Because you shot him when you were two, little Al.”
It does, and I addressed that in my previous comment. Stupid people endanger their children every day, in many ways much more frequent and lethal than gun accidents. Children die from drowning and abuse much more frequently than from gun incidents. Creating more laws that only take guns away from law-abiding citizens isn’t going to solve the problem.
265 children shot someone with a gun in 2015, according to several sources including Washington Post, and even the right wing leaning publication, International Business Times. http://www.ibtimes.com/accidental-gun-deaths-involving-children-are-major-problem-us-2250568 So, 265 shootings in 2015, divided by 52 weeks, is more than five shootings by children per week in the USA, 83 of said shootings were fatal. Yeah, guns are a problem, but to my mind, it is the lunatic mindset that guns provide one with power (fostered by the militarization of police forces who… nvm, another topic for later), as well as the lunatic notion that merely possessing a gun endows the possessor with magical levels of competence, a complete and utter disregard of where all those bullets may go if one misses a target, especially in a city or populated environment, and a disregard for the value of human life. Wanna start somethin’? Imma not telling anybody where I live, but if someone wants to have a rational discussion, I may entertain the idea of participating in said discussion. And another thing. Why is it necessary to unload a torrent of bullets? A good guy with a gun actually would hit the target with one shot. Why is it necessary to have high capacity magazines?
I have had guns. I grew up in a rural area where everybody had guns. We didn’t go on rage killings. Most of my friends had a .22 LR rifle, mine was a Marlin, and nobody in my area of 200,000 people really killed anybody. Oh wait, yeah I knew two people kulled somebody with a .22 LR: Themselves. Of the approximately 30,000 gun homicides per year in the good old USA, over sixty percent of them, or over 18,000 deaths, were suicides. I also have known a few people, like three or four, that put a gun(handgun) in their mouths, and lived. Granted, there quality of life was diminished, but yes, it is possible for one to try to blow one’s brains out, and live a miserable existence for a long time. Some of the successful suicides took someone else with them, usually a family member or partner, and some of the suicides were children using their parents’ gun.
Looks like none of the leftists actually addressed the substance of ExoticDoc’s post. By any measure the Obama initiative, to put men in women’s bathrooms, is weird.
I am not a leftist, but I do not see any substance in ExoticDoc’s post. Perhaps she removed one and I cannot see it, because all I can see is a kneejerk snipe against someone Rush the Dung Beetle dubbed “the Hildebeast”. But attacking Afghanistan and Iraq and destabilising an uneasy peace, because 15 Saudis and 4 others flew into WTC, Pentagon and Shanksville PA makes more sense to you than something you call the “Obama initiative? Huh? I am perhaps more (ahem) mature than you. I remember the 1970s when trans people routinely used the bathroom they identified with. Many clubs, restaurants and other businesses had unisex bathrooms in addition to the male or female bathrooms. Schools also had bathrooms few people knew about to accomodate trans people or shy people. But then again, I also remember when the rock supergroup Blind Faith sold an LP displaying a topless eleven year old nude girl on the cover. That album was sold at grocery stores, 5&10 cent stores, Sears, JC Penney, K-Mart and even drugstores without hiding, or even a plain brown wrapper. But America was sane then. Even then, even in the Hardshell Baptist and socially modest societies of the Old South. there was nothing sexual about that album coverToday, some Americans with problems, would call for Clapton, Winwood, Grech and Baker to be jailed and registered as sex offenders, even though the band had nothing to do with the album cover art. Yeah, later versions of that LP, in some markets, did get the cover changed.

I read there are some 300 million firearms in this country, which is about one per person. I see we are not shooting one per person.
