    X …Yes, actually. Yay!

What x_Tech is referring to is that last night my car started making a horrible loud, squealing noise….like some metal part was dragging in the street… but I couldn’t see anything underneath.

Today I arranged to have it towed to my mechanic. When the AAA driver came, I asked him to please tale a look first. He came out with a big piece of dark grey plastic, that I’d missed.“Here’s your noise..”a section of under-body shielding that had fallen and was touching the ground on one corner. My mechanic laughed. on the phone…and said I should probably replace it some day…. if he ever finds one.

@TonyDo you have a car?I use to but then I didn’t drive it for a long time. The insurance company I was with went out of business. The tires on the car deflated. The DMV said the car didn’t exist in their records. The highly valuable cassette tape deck disappeared. And then one day I noticed that the car just wasn’t there any more. Oh well, at least it didn’t stain the parking spot.

I have 2 but after the insurance payments twice a year and the tax payment once a year and the inspection ritual once a year, I begin to wonder if I really own them.

Yea I have a car: a 2004 Mercedes ML360, Sound luxurious right? No, it’s a truck. Rides like a truck, drives like a truck and people get outta my way (like a truck).I know old ladies drive little old lady cars, but I feel safe in my red……truck.

@Tony: 2008 Mazda3 hatchback. It’s a great little car and amazing how much it can carry with the seats down.
