I think that is the intent of the wait.. either you give up or get mad about the wait. In either case the “help” does not need to know much about the product.
Tsk, sigh! That’s what the pad next to the phone is for! You write down what you want, put the phone on speaker, hope they play something you like, then you crank up solitaire on the computer (desktop, of course) and play happily until they notice you’re still there. If it’s a really bad call I even play while I’m talking to them; keeps me calm.
