Do you speak English? Yes I speak a little English... This... This is a miracle! There must be magic seashells!... Or... Or... Ok. This may sound crazy, but maybe we stumbled upon some ancient technology from the lost city of Atlantis! Not to sound crazy. Perfectly reasonable hypothesis... He finally finds the perfect friend, but he's on the other side of the world and can only be reached through a magic seashell... You really think so?

Or just a cellphone.

Not sure about the Atlantis part, but the rest makes perfect sense.

China may not quite be the Antipodes to where Monty is, but this has a distinct science-fiction feel that somehow calls to mind the ilk of Jules Verne and Edgar Allan Poe. How many Monty’s make a paradox? Just a pair?

Monty America has hair on his chest. Monte China (蒙特?) does not.

Asians seem to pronounce both L and R the same way, with a sound that’s right between them that’s got some of the D feeling that’s in the Spanish R. Like the vowel combo in some of the northeastern states that’s partway between “oi” and “er.”
Just as saying “Joisey” is a ham-fisted attempt to imitate that vowel sound, “rorripop” and “rickolish” and such are tries at mimicking the sound without giving it any real thought.
Nobody’s gladder than me that dialect comedy has lost its apostrophe-laden popularity.

The bit is weakened by the explanation of it in the last frame. We get it.

Isnt it really time to do away with the coolie hats? China is an advanced civilization. What next? Wooden shoes?

Isn’t it really time to do away with the baseball caps? The US is an advanced civilization. Wait, no. Never mind.

While hats like that are still worn in several East Asian countries, they are mostly worn by farmers in rural areas. You won’t see many on city streets or on beaches. But it’s true they aren’t as much of an anachronism as the junk seen in the background. I suppose both the hats and the junk are there to convey the setting, since otherwise it’d be pretty hard to tell the two Montys apart, but they do look rather out of place (or maybe I should say out of time). The 你好 in yesterday’s comic, on the other hand, was a nice touch.
