I would gladly have kept my landline if AT&T hadn’t kept raising the rates. Nearly $40 a month for something I used maybe once a week for a couple of minutes.

I have both a landline and a simple flip-phone. You can’t imagine how superior I feel.

I’m so glad the Wii U controller has a wire option. Going thru batteries on the Wii remote is a pain.

Same here; no cell phone to drag everywhere. Who needs it?

Same business everywhere these days with landlines. Phone companies want to get rid of the lines, which don’t make profit for them.I somehow can understand that in some cases. Here in Finland there could be in countryside 1 km landline to granny’s cottage and she hardly uses phone more than few times in a week. If there comes problems with the line, repairing might be really slow…Hmm…there’s one that kind of a line near me. Trees fell down in a storm few years ago and the line also dropped to the ground there. Just few weeks ago i had to go there with a tractor and a mower (reaper?) for mowing hays and brushes from the sides of that private road. Forgot that line down there and suddenly i had about 20 m phone wire in the mower…no-one has connected or asked me about it…i guess there was no use anyway with the line anymore.I turned to wireless few years ago, cos company didn’t repair thunder damage in their center soon enough anymore.
