It almost looks like there is a body of water there in front of fish. On the off chance it is, I wonder if he wanted to jump in it or if he was afraid he would fall in? The difference being freedom versus banishment.

Umm. Bottom of the hill, he’s usually a quarter of a mile away from it if it was at a 45 degree decline.
