Having been on the Mall, and done some counts, there, and of wildlife herds, this one was between 75-80,000. Park Service stopped the counts because it always turned into a circus. CBS count is probably closest, no way it was over 100K.

Watching Beck yesterday, a clear messianic complex at work- he’t no longer even an “entertainer” but an evangelical shill for himself.

Bruce, quit lecturing me, thanks. You have no idea what I have or have not seen. And I have already posted plenty of evidence of Beck’s insincerity in planning the event in the first place to “reclaim the civil rights movement.” Whether it is 85K or 300K (and trout is right, from what I have seen), it certainly isn’t greater than a million. (http://www.welovedc.com/2009/09/14/912-rally-crowd-estimates-two-million/)

It’s amazing how some people can endlessly repeat one piece of historical misunderstanding over and over as if it proved some point.
