Once I went to a place like that with my mother. Serious players only! I don’t gamble so…

Lynn’s Notes: Dabbers and disposable cards made the game so much easier. With the new speed and efficiency, players wanted runners to be on the ball. If someone needed a new card or wanted a bag of chips, the runners had to anticipate this and literally run to the side of the player. A winning call wasn’t greeted with applause (as it was in the church basements), it was a serious loss, a begrudging acceptance and a chance to start again.

My college has regular free bingo games for students. You get one reusable board, though you can swap for a different one if it’s “unlucky”. The prizes are groceries, everything from bags of fresh bread, fruits & vegetables to cases of Mountain Dew. When you win, you get to pick 3 items. While you can technically play/win as much as you want (and everyone cheers when someone wins) it is considered shady to collect prizes more than 2-3 times per event.

Not many comments today. I guess the implied element of old people sex has not gotten the population excited.
