Buenos Dias, Locos! One word: IHOP!

(I hear they serve grits too!)

Buenos Dias. IHOP is an establishment I have not been to in over 30 years, not since visiting one in Pennsylvania that had a filthy bathroom and a manager that was equally as filthy. Sorry Dry, I think I will stay home and have a bowl of cereal and fruit.

By the way it is cool, gray and rainy today. :-(

Party Pooper! We’re going to one I know of in Georgia, that has clean bathrooms and a friendly staff, at least they did 20 years ago! LOL!

And it is sunny 60 and I feel that awful word in the air, just like I said, Labor Day hits and that feeling in the air arrives as well! SIGH!!!!

I feel yucky! I think I’m getting my husband’s cold, or flu or whatever he has. I didn’t do any labor, I was a bum all day.

I made bread and salmon stock today, but little else. It rained all day.

I’m glad your doing okay, Dry. I just had some cinnamon toast crunch cereal. I think all I have is some chicken noodle soup and I don’t think I can have some of that just after the cereal. I have to call my Mom about that storm or hurricane and see how they are doing.

Carmy what storm is heading for Texas? I haven’t seen any tv today except my recorded “Days of Our Lives” from Friday. I saved it for tonight because it was pre-empted today.

Dry, it’s a storm that developed in the Gulf of Mexico. I believe it’s called Hermine. It’s not supposed to reach hurricane strength, it will stay a tropical storm. My Mom said that it has been raining on and off, no big winds. Hi Shika!

I’m listening to a CD called SLEEP DEEPLY Does that tell you I like sleep?

PBS TV is having yet ANOTHER pledge break, and my other half came across Ben E. King as he was singing one of my favorite songs from one of my FAVORITE MOVIES, “STAND BY ME” and as my one son recorded it for me on one of my Christmas presents, I am listeining to it again!

Shika we do that too, celebrate anything that gives us a day off! My county still celebrates Flag Day! (THANK GOODNESS!!)

You want a good nights sleep, order yourself a feather pillow from Pacific Coast Feather Company, they supply the pillows for most of the good hotel chains like Hampton, Courtyard Marriott, Hilton Gardens, first time I used one, I took the covers off to see where it came from, continued doing so in the other hotels and decided to order me one. Now I have 2. They are between 40 and 50 bucks, but I have had the one for over 5 years and the second for close to a year, and man, they are SO COMFORTABLE! I LOVE THEM! Never slept with 2 pillows before until I first stayed at the Hampton. (AND BESIDES, I’M WORTH IT! LOL!)

Sounds good Dry I love a good pillow. I sleep with too pillows too, but they don’t sound as comfy as yours.

Dry, I make all of our stock, chicken, beef, vegeatable, shrimp and fish. Tonight LilG used my salmon stock to make the best seafood risotto that I have ever had. She used my salmon stock, she made a shrimp stock and used arborio rice, scallops and shrimp. It was to die for.

We bought a new mattress about a year ago and it has been amazing what it has done for my sleep comfort, but I am most picky about my pillow. I need a thin pillow and actually have to take my pillow wherever I go, otherwise I awake with a stiff neck.

I would take my bed if I could, but I am not as in need of comfort from the neck down, so I can sleep on any bed, but not any pillow.

It’s dull outside. Need I say more? I wasn’t even tempted to go out today.

ah well, it’s been a grand summer though for me.

I know what you mean cleo I don’t have a car, so I travel light. But I’m going on a retreat this weekend coming up, so I may think about bring a pillow. I have to bring my sleeping bag. We’re sleeping on bunk beds.

Cleo do you have a “Sleep Member” bed? Friends of mine do, and he uses one number and she uses the other. And yes, I hear you about your pillow! That’s why I splurged on my feather pillows, Only that company’s feather pillows will do! You should be familiar with that company, they are in your neck of the woods. My next big splurge is going to be for one of their mattress pads or the comforter, and those cost a couple hundred, but don’t tell anybody or he’d sh!@ himself!

Shika, when I forget my pillow I awake with a stiff neck that is with me all day and nothing, in my mind, is worse than a stiff neck.

Dry no, we do not have a sleep member bed, but we spent a small fortune on our mattress.

The thing about the new mattresses is they are so thick and heavy that it makes changing sheets a pain in the yahoo.

That’s right cleo The new mattresses mean you have to buy new sheets too, just to fit.

Yes Shika, old sheets become to small even though they are for the same “size” mattress.

New mattresses are about 15” thick.

Yes. Mua had trouble adjusting to the height at first, but now he jumps up no problem.

Yes I have a bunch of sheet sets now that I can’t use anymore because of that! Had to buy all new, or get those dang mattress hook thingys that pop off! So I have about 4 sheet sets now that fit!

Yes. In the summer, somehow he conned me into lifting him into bed! I thought he couldn’t jump up. He also made me lift him down! LOL

He has no trouble jumping up and down here, and this bed is higher than any bed I slept in in the summer.

Hee-hee. I figured.

But I’m gonna get me one! I’m leaning more towards the pad rather than the comforter because right now, they only come in white. A white comforter would not bode well with my cats! Now if my cats were white…..?????

I keep wanting some lovely lady to lift me up into bed. LilG has not shown interest, so I am taking applications.

All this talk about beds has made me sleepy. I think I’ll go visit mine for the night.

Dry My cat is white, and I bought dark brown sheets. Go figure. But white sheets aren’t a problem with my white fuzz ball.
