Perhaps he’s the next applicant and he’s too frightening to hire? Maybe somebody should show this comic to their grandparent and ask them to explain it.
Why does it say “Mutt & Jeff by Pierre S. De Beaumont” when it’s by Bud Fisher–whose name appears on the strip, and who CREATED the strip in the first place?
