People have too many fixed ideas and emotional investment to ever approach some problem say unemployment to look at the data, form a hypothesis, develop a plan and carry it thru. And they sure won’t say, hey that didn’t work – what else can we do? Look at Kansas.
Yep, Humans are flawed. There’s the lack of rational, critical thinking you mention. And there’s also the compulsion to insert bile into comments attached to some place people seek simple amusement.
