Gosh, I wish I could be so blissfully, unconditionally happy like Odie. Just look at him … Not a worry in the world ! Man, life would be good. Wouldn’t even mind the odd kick off the table !

I think Garfield has had his own hands on more than half of those head bumps alone, lol

Odie reminds me of what Artie Johnson used to say on “Laugh-in:” “Very interesting…but stupid!”

I don’t think he so much bumped his head, as he was probably dropped on his head as a pup!

Maybe the point is that Odie is happy without a brain. High intelligence, from what I’ve seen, is directly related to being a sorry, overly analytical, generally dysfunctional mess. Or as King Solomon put it, “For with much wisdom comes much sorrow; the more knowledge, the more grief.”

My cat (one of my two, actually) is a indescribably dear, sweet zhlub with not more than one functioning brain cell. But when he’s stretched out and purring, I honestly think he knows the secret of a happy life.

If not for hitting my head, I would not have changed from hard science to humanities, and all the high paying careers that come with such a decision.

Odie is smart enough to know that playing dumb keeps him out of trouble.

Most of those times are your fault Garfield when you’ve kicked him off the table

It didn’t help that jumping used to be his only method of getting around. Every time he went under the table, BONK BONK BONK BONK BONK.
