LAfan posted too quick. I was speaking to Lewreader who has admitted to having LOTS of comics around. And it sounds like they might cause some friction at home!! At least he recognized himself.
Trouble with the shipment. She was expecting
Superman, but received the Boy Wonder. As in he wondered what he was supposed to do. Luckily,
Spiderman came along and weaved his magic web of love. Eight hands, no waiting. What more can you ask for? He was accompanied by by the Human Torch who is a hunka hunka burning love. Wow! What a two for one special! I’d like to make it a foursome, but I’m the Shrinking Violet type and very shy. Maybe Mr. Fantastic can help me break out of my shell and reveal my secret identity.
I had a crush on Nancys’ Aunt Fritzy. Then I got interested in Archies’ Betty. After that it was Lois Lane. Probably should have been reading Famous Monsters like normal kids.
Sorry LEWREADER, must have had you mixed up with Dr. Toon. I need a spread sheet to keep everyone straight. My apologies. Hope you come back to read this. Still think your cat looks like a gorilla face.
Doctor Toon: 300,000? Gads! I don’t know whether to be jealous or aghast. Maybe both.
I haven’t saved comics from newspapers for quite a few years. I still have all my old ones, though.
I can’t say the same for my comic book collection. I’ve been slowly divesting myself of some of the stuff I’m not likely to read again–just for the sake of space. Those suckers take up a lot of room!
Impressive, Doc Toon! And you’re right that some (probably most) cartoonists are mighty nice. All those hours, days, weeks and months of sitting alone in a room makes some of us happy to have human contact!
Of course, I’m not really a cartoonist. I’m just a writer who noodles a bit with old art and has occasional delusions of grandeur.

Yea but are’t those “issues” carefully wrapped in protective acid free plastic? Or even shrink wrapped?
ejcapulet about 14 years ago
Can I get one of those gift-wrapped?
margueritem about 14 years ago
I’ll take those ‘two for the price of one’. Is there seperate shipping and handling?
grapfhics about 14 years ago
I think the shipping is free, it’s the handling charge that will cost you.

Sillies! Those issues are fragile! That’s why they come in bubble pack.

Please God, don’t let her see this.

Those types only work out if their issues are graded F/VF or lower.

MYTHRESONS The only comics I have around are my family, my co-workers, and the well dressed people who knock and tell me my religion is wrong.
