Alice: Oh, boy! A new shoebox diorama! Petey: Daddy asked me "how's school?" I didn't know what to say, so I'm answering in diorama form. Alice: Ooh. Petey: I've never done a concept as abstract as "hos school is." So far it's a mess. Petey: It's frustrating and annoying and silly, but if I finish it, maybe at some point I'll be kinda happy with it. Alice: That's it! Petey: That's how school is!

Petey’s “Eureka!” moment courtesy of his little sister. Sometimes you have to talk it over with a sympathetic ear to get the revelation that has been staring you in the face.
