Bikes are okay (if you’re in good shape to ride), but if you live further than a mile or two from a grocery store then a car is pretty nice to have. (I have an adult tricycle and a cart so that I can haul more than with a bike alone.)
Bike as transportation is dismissed rather quickly here — especially when compared to an entire chapter on just buying a car. It should at least be mentioned that riding in traffic takes more skill than driving in traffic. You need six weeks of expert instruction — picking it up by riding with skilled traffic handlers takes years.

The only reason I see for a health center to use a dog as representative is because is for animals.

You get in good shape by riding and keep that way. Also I can’t afford a car anymore so I ride the bus system. Walking is also good.
