Our town has a gathering in a shopping center parking lot. People decorate their trunks and truck beds if they want in the Halloween theme and they give our candy to the children. No more door to door – it’s just not safe any more.

When Moxie was a little over a year old, people down the street had one of those animated treasure chests that opened up and a skeleton came out. We were walking and she saw it was something new. Went over to investigate just as the thing slowly opened. My big, brave dog yelped, ran and hid behind me. From then on, she wouldn’t go near the thing.
