Hmmm! A reality check, always important in comics. What species of snake has a forked tail? What species of snake has teeth? Stretching the truth are we?
What species doesn’t? They are a major part of swallowing since the tongue is a sensory organ. The teeth are curved back and the lower jaw moves forward and back, moving the food down the throat. Even the 4-5 foot constrictors can give a bloody bite, and of course the fangs of the poisonous ones are just modified teeth.
