AircraftEngineer: I’m certain I have seen pictures of Navajo blankets with that symbol as part of the design.

The Native American design (I’m most familiar with that from pictographs and Southwestern rugs and baskets) is usually the left-handed form of the broken cross, and therefore different from the Nazi symbol.
