Blame 30 years of ignorant voters believing whatever lie is fed to them by a media chasing an audience. Blame a populace that has almost literally dumbed itself down into believing all problems can be fixed with a simple rhyming phrase.
It will be good if the dems take the House Senate and White House. They can begin repairing some of the damage the republicans caused by ignoring the good of the country so they could snub the black president.

In three-quarters century of civil rights involvement, yes, I can remember when a few [real] conservatives supported civil rights, although it was mainly during WW-II to counter the divide-and-rule propaganda from Germany. However, since then, those claiming the title have been firmly against any rights for anyone but rich white males, and I include Uncle Toms, Tio Tacos, etc. who always work against their own interests in hope for a few crumbs from massa, el patrón, etc.
