I really hate it when people try to guilt trip you into paying inflated prices for something just because the money’s going to a “good cause.” Going for a “good cause” doesn’t suddenly put the money in my pocket.
The equivalent ‘store-bought’ cookies aren’t 99cents anymore. The elf brand ones are almost the same price as Girl Scout cookies which are still 4.00 a box. (That elf-brand fudge and vanilla sandwich cookie actually began life as a Girl Scout cookie when the same bakery made both.)

Since they didn’t want to say “Girl Scouts” they get imaginative and creative. My favorite was “Amazon Scouts” from the cartoon "Oblongs ".
