Whoa, Trudie looks plenty mad. Nelson, what did you do?

Recipes as opposed to discussing his mother’s opinion about how Trudie keeps house? Her choice in reading material? Her wardrobe (how could she wear polka dots like that)?

Nelson would be better off hoping that Trudie doesn’t bite his head off. That woman has a mean streak. I once asked her is she thought polka dots were slimming…..sheesh!

Yes, Trudy looks particularly disengaged.

After 23 years of marriage, Nelson does know her favorite topics…..

So any evening that she doesn’t care to hold yet another discussion

of whether cream puffs should be filled with custard, whipped cream, or chocolate pudding…

he ought to know that it’s time to back off and regroup.

It’s just that he knows it’s all a misunderstanding….

He never would have told Marsha Gless that he liked her persimmon tarts better than Trudie’s.

I told Trudie, last time I cut her hair, not to listen to Doris Finklewinger’s stories.

But now Trudie is mad at me.

That’s why her hair is so bushy and white…. she won’t come to my salon for her cut and color.

Farside…. but polka dots are de rigeur here on Ballard Street.

They’re worn for every occasion.

I miss Beviak

So, we are all kinda like Trudie and Nelson is GoComics. They are trying to talk recipes to us but I’m not sure it is something we want to eat. Not sure it will be good enough to bring back the deserters……not even if it is dessert.

Bev’s Mom is out of surgery, so far so good.

Trudie appears ready to discuss a recipe for pie-in-the-face.

Not much you can do with sour grapes.
