What brings you to th' neighborhood?! Oh I was just writing back from doin' charity work at the Children's Hospital when my unicycle got a flat... See there?! Now that's a perfectly reasonable explanation for... Ok... Now why are you cowering? It just so happens I'm also afraid of regular clowns...

Actually it’s not universal, just American…people in other countries I’ve been to are baffled by Americans’ fear of clowns…but they also think that Americans are afraid of just about everything

cove37. very true. FEAR is how the government controls the great unwashed masses. Few places can match USA for building a nation of FEAR. Which of course begats hate.

Back in the 1980’s there was a mysterious outbreak of male clown sightings some trying to lure children into vans. No one was identified or caught, no children were hurt.
