I hope you’re not expecting an Oscar nomination.

It’s a good thing that title wasn’t “An Incontinent Queen”…..I might’ve had to skip this week’s strips.

The last panel could be called “An Unfortunate Portrait.”

She was inconvenient. She was the daughter of the fourth son of George III and was not expected to ever take the throne. She was fifth in line. Like Harry is now. She inherited it after her father’s three older brothers all died without any legitimate heirs, those heirs dying as infants or were miscarried. It just worked out that way. Vicki, OTOH, had nine children and they all married crowned heads across Europe. An unofficial title she held was “Grandmother of Europe.” The tsarevich in 1917 was her ONLY descendant with hemophilia and his circumstances have lead many to doubt his legitimacy.
