The Duomo, the Cathedral of Milan, Italy, took nearly 500 years to build and has 135 spires and over 3000 statues. British micro engraver Graham Short's work is so detailed and tiny that it cannot be seen with the naked eye and must be done in between heartbeats! Founded in 718, the Hoshi Ryokan Hotel in Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan, has been run by the same family for 46 generations.

And the Duomo cost the life savings of 7,350,000 peasants.(I’m guessing.)

I had really hoped not to find a micro engraver here today, Sir.

The Duomo took 500 years. Obviously paid by the hour. I also here it took 20 minutes to get to the only Port-a-John on site.

One old hotel!

500 years? Typical lazy contractor. Next time put a firm completion date with penalties in the contract.

The Duomo looks gody.

Good thing the Dumo is in Italy, If it were in Florida, they would still be waiting for the code inspectors to sign off on approval to start work

The micro-engraver sounds like he is wasting his life. If it is too small to be seen, what is the point? Most people don’t have microscopes. The part about between heartbeats, he must be really tuned in close to his body.
