I remember years back photos of a bird going up into a vending machine to steal the goodies. They need to hire smaller birds!

My little timneh’s leftovers all go out to my patio and they’re much better than the wild birdseed. I finally had a roadrunner right outside my patio doors today- first time I ever saw one so close. I hope it will return, but I didn’t see it eat anything; I just have to hope it liked what it found. They are very large and impressive birds. The only other one I’ve seen live in my 12 years here in AZ was running across the road as I was driving ;-)

    Yeah……Birdbrains are back!!!!!

We feed our birds sunflower seeds (black oil). Even the little finches and chicadees love it. But the big ole Pinon Jays just go wild over them! They scatter them so much, that the smaller birds just feed off the ground!

We’ve been told that wherever you put your bird feeder, is where you’ll find bears……..oops!

Montana Lady, that is true, that’s why many people wait until the bears are hibernating to put out the feeders. I had one at my bird feeder and I live in a busy neighborhood with neighbors all around. Now I wait until winter.
