E’er ‘eard o’ a napkin, Earl? There’d be no crumbs in the ’stache if you used one.

They are often trying to lick your chin. That’s how they show affection or submission to other dogs. Of course, as with Earl, if you have just eaten and are sloppy, they are more than willing to help you clean up.

Yes, glad I haven’t had breakfast yet. I think I will read a few more comics before I attempt it.

I love it when a dog licks me. I love it when they jump up at me too. I don’t mind a bit even though the owner tells them off.

    Wonderful animals.

Or like our Lab, Alex they have to smell your breath after catching us one day having a cookie without him while he stood on the bench in the backyard and looked into the kitchen and saw us. Every time he came back inside a mouth smell was in order LOL

Supposedly, it’s because they want some of what you just ate. Old puppy instinct.

    What ? Me Worried ?

Standard method for wolves to carry food from the kill to the den, since they can carry more in the stomach than in the mouth. I have seen references contending that dogs are Canis lupus, same as wolves.
