Couldn’t be more wrong as most Pluggers frequent the same restaurants and know the staff quite well and the staff also knows them , They are quite often Friends, Who ever sent in this comic idea obviously doesn’t have a clue about Pluggers. If they don’t see their Waitress or Waiter they will ask about them to make sure they are OK as they care about them. The same as the staff will ask the Plugger if they haven’t seen them in awhile if they have been OK.
We had a restaurant where we could ask for a particular waiter and I could say, “I’ll have the usual” and get it with the correct substitutions. It is defunct and I am not feeling so well.

They do if they’re regulars. And the waitresses remember them too, and sometimes don’t even have to ask what they want.
